We’ve had a big year here at our3kidsvtheworld, its not until you stop and look back that you realise just how much we have done. Before we get into our yearly wrap up, I want to thank our followers for coming along for the ride and I am hopeful that you are all getting out there and enjoying holidays with your families as well. We don’t earn a fortune but we make holidaying a priority with what we have.

We took the opportunity to visit the Cape Otway Lighthouse on a recent trip to Apollo Bay. The lighthouse is a short drive off the Great Ocean Rd through the Cape Otway National Park. You can read about our experience spotting cute cuddly koalas by clicking here.

Over our June long weekend we took the kids to Apollo Bay located along the iconic Great Ocean Road about 2.5 hours from Melbourne. The Otway Fly Treetop Adventure is 40kms from Apollo Bay and that took about 40mins because its a very windy road, so if you’re a person that gets a motion sickness you might struggle a bit! I had a couple of moments! Luckily enough it doesn’t seem to bother my kids.

Now who doesn’t love koalas, Australia’s famous little cuddly looking bears. We spent the long weekend at Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Rd and when we visited the Cape Otway National Park, driving through the eucalyptus trees you could see the koalas in the trees. People had pulled over to the side of the road all the way down into the Cape Otway Lighthouse. We stopped and jumped out with the kids so that they could have a look at koalas in their natural habitat.
