Over the Easter long weekend we finally visited Cape Conran in East Gippsland. I say finally because my friend has been going there for 14 years and has asked me pretty much every year to come along but for various reasons we just haven’t gotten around to going. What a mistake, big mistake!
Last month Craig and I and a few friends, went to one of the twilight concerts that are held at the Melbourne Zoo. They are held on the lawns near the rotunda closer to the rear entrance. On this occasion we saw Bernard Fanning, there are various others playing over the summer season on selected dates including James Reyne, Sarah Blasko, Paul Kelly, Spiderbait, Village People & The Cat Empire.
It’s school holidays here in Australia and Craig doesn’t have much leave from work as I seem to spend it before we get it! A friend invited me to Mt Baw Baw for a night so I thought it would be nice for myself and the kids to join her.
So, I’m assuming you read my post about our upcoming trip to Marysville , where I researched Marysville and some of the activities I was hoping to do while we were in town. Well we have just returned from our trip and I will fill you in on a secret, we only managed to tick off one of those activities and that was to visit the Cathedral Ranges for a walk.
Over the Christmas/ New Year break we went on a camping trip to the Big 4 Taggerty Holiday Park with the kids. I had researched a heap of things to keep the kids busy and entertained but in the end we did very few of them but still found plenty to do in the area and also plenty of other things that we didn’t get around to doing. Here’s my review of the Big 4 Taggerty Holiday Park. We love camping, its great for the kids and it saves us money that we can…
We dropped into the local General Store during our recent camping trip to Taggerty and were told about the 8th Annual Poohstick Race that was to be held on New Years Day on Little River. What’s a Poohstick Race you ask, so did we so we had to go and find out.
