Langkawi’s Top Tourist Attraction – SkyCab

The Skycab has been rated Langkawi’s top tourist attraction on the island and I can see why, the views from the viewing platform are amazing and certainly worth the 30 minute ride in the SkyCab to the top. The Skycab isn’t just about the ride though, there’s plenty to do up there and you could easily spend a whole day wandering. There are so many amazing things to do in Langkawi with kids(more…)

Review – Aonang Cliff Beach Resort & Spa

When travelling I always like to go to at least one place I haven’t been before. For the Thailand leg of the trip it was Aonang, located about 45 mins drive from Krabi Airport. Krabi is the gateway to Thailand’s southern islands that aren’t accessible by air.  Aonang is a great place to explore Railay Beach and Koh Phi Phi or even go snorkelling on Koh Rok Island. You can also get a boat transfer from Aonang to Phuket if you wanted to visit both.  While in Aonang we stayed at the Aonang Cliff Beach resort and Spa. (more…)

Review – Meritus Pelangi Resort & Spa, Langkawi, Malaysia – Travelling with Kids – Family Travel Blog

Over the last couple of years we have visited Malaysia more than once a year. It’s our stop over generally on the way to somewhere else. We often have a couple of days in Kuala Lumpur before flying on or on our way home. We often talk about exploring Malaysia a little more but it seems to always get overlooked, well not this time! We decided to explore Langkawi and we chose to stay at the Meritus Pelangi Resort and Spa. (more…)

Review – Crown Lanta Resort & Spa – Travelling with Kids, Family Travel Blog

The Thai island of Koh Lanta holds a very special place in both mine and Craig’s hearts, as it was the relaxing leg our our honeymoon nearly 14 years ago, we went there after spending 3 weeks touring Vietnam from South to North. We were looking forward to a nice relaxing beach break and that’s exactly what we got. We already knew where to stay in Koh Lanta, Crown Lanta ticks all our boxes. (more…)

Babysitting options in Siem Reap – Travelling with Kids – Family Travel Blog

We’ve all heard the term ‘templed out’ generally a topic of conversation for those travelling to Siem Reap with kids. I’ve had a couple of people ask me if I made any arrangements for babysitting options in Siem Reap. Fortunately I didn’t have any issues and the kids enjoyed the temples although we were able to space it out as we were staying in town  for 7 days. (more…)

Hotel Review – RIHGA Royal Hotel Tokyo – Travelling with Kids – Family Travel Blog

There are so many hotel options when travelling to Tokyo and to be honest it can seem a little overwhelming. The city is so big and hotels are notoriously expensive and the rooms are reportedly small. After plenty of research I also found that family rooms are difficult to come by and are on the expensive side. Deciding where to stay in Shinjuku is definitely a big task and for us, it was based on cost. (more…)

Universal Studios Japan, Osaka – Travelling with Kids – Family Travel Blog

Alannah has to be the biggest fan of Harry Potter so when we decided we were going to Japan I knew Universal Studios was going to be top of the list. Universal Studios Japan was celebrating it’s 15th birthday during 2016, with Harry Potter World opening in July 2014. I can’t explain how excited Alannah was when we arrived so Harry Potter world was first cab off the rank. (more…)
