Exploring Australia’s Top End and Darwin with kids was definitely a little different to our usual holidays especially when we decided it would be a 4WD camping trip (insert totally shocked emoji). Having a 4WD enabled to access some of the more remote areas and to explore the best Australia’s Top End has to offer families. We’ve wanted to visit Kakadu National Park for a long time and also had the opportunity to explore the best things to do in Darwin with kids. (more…)
Do you like to escape to somewhere warmer during winter? Ever consider the RACV Cobram Resort? It has to be the best family friendly resort in Cobram, in my opinion anyway! Here’s why.
Earlier this year we was invited to visit the RACV Cobram Resort, part of the RACV Resorts group, I had looked at it a few times and we have friends that holiday here each Christmas so the decision to snap up the offer wasn’t a hard one! (more…)
Last Sunday we had the opportunity to sail the high seas on board Searoad Ferries’ Queenscliff to Sorrento ferry here in Victoria. Queenscliff holds a special place in my heart, its where we use to holiday for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year break as a family when I was growing up.

Most, these days, have a pool and jumping pillow but some go the extra mile. Like Big 4 Park Lane Holiday Parks, there are four in Victoria, Traralgon, Yarra Valley, Bendigo and Shepparton. (more…)
Yesterday was Craig’s birthday and I always find it difficult to find him a present for his birthday that he wants or needs so I have been surprising him with a day out or better still, like last year, a three day break for the two of us in Uluru! This year wasn’t quite so extravagant but we did manage to get a day to ourselves and went on a Yarra Valley Segway tour at the Balgownie Estate. (more…)
The Melbourne Aquarium opened in 1999, was extended in 2008 and was fully renovated in 2013 to the way it is today. It’s located on the corner of King and Flinders Streets under the Flinders St viaduct and on the banks of the Yarra River and is now referred to as Sealife Aquarium Melbourne.
There’s a new kid on the block, Legoland Melbourne a.k.a Legoland Discovery Centre has brought Legoland to Australia! We are accustomed to travelling far and wide to experience Legoland, we travelled to Legoland Malaysia for our experience. Having been to a Legoland I was a bit unsure about what to expect at Legoland Melbourne. (more…)
