Our overnight visit to Mt Baw Baw – Travelling with kids – Travel Blog

It’s school holidays here in Australia and Craig doesn’t have much leave from work as I seem to spend it before we get it! A friend invited me to Mt Baw Baw for a night so I thought it would be nice for myself and the kids to join her.

So what did we see & do in Marysville? – Family Travel Blog – Travelling with Kids

When I researched Marysville and some of the activities I was hoping to do while we were in town, I ended up with a bit of a list. Well we have just returned from our trip and I will fill you in on a secret, we only managed to tick off one of those activities and that was to visit the Cathedral Ranges for a walk.

My Review – Big 4 Taggerty Holiday Park, Victoria – Family Travel Blog – Travelliing with kids

Over the Christmas/ New Year break we went on a camping trip to the Big 4 Taggerty Holiday Park with the kids. I had researched a heap of things to keep the kids busy and entertained but in the end we did very few of them but still found plenty to do in the area and also plenty of other things that we didn’t get around to doing. Here’s my review of the Big 4 Taggerty Holiday Park. We love camping, its great for the kids and it saves us money that we can spend on other things. (more…)

Australia Day Weekend in Sydney – Family Travel Blog – Travelling With Kids

We thought it was about time we returned to Sydney as a family to visit some friends that we met while we were living there from 2010 – 2012. We made some wonderful friends while we were there and many have come to Melbourne to visit us. We love to see them and show them around our wonderful home town but we are especially excited to be returning as a family to check out all the old haunts! I have been back a couple of times to visit Keira’s friend Bella but this time we will visit friends of Lanni’s and our lovely neighbours in Brooks Circuit.

Cheap Accommodation Options at Uluru

Our recent trip to Uluru was a bit of a knee jerk reaction to some cheap flights I managed to book without fully researching what other associated costs would amount too! Gotta love that hey, book before you think!! I’m rather good at it. Here’s my review of the Ayers Rock campground (more…)

Kings Canyon, Northern Territory – AAT Kings day Tour

For Craig’s birthday I surprised him with a trip to the Red Centre, part of that trip was a day trip to Kings Canyon with AAT Kings.  AAT Kings is a well oiled machine and the tours are run exceptionally well. The bus does a loop of the Ayers Rock Resort and picks up all the people attending the tour, our pick up time was 4.50am! Then we head straight to Kings Canyon and completed the amazing Kings Canyon rim walk.  (more…)

Chopper flight over Uluru with Ayers Rock Helicopters

Last weekend I surprised Craig with a long weekend at Uluru for his birthday. I have always wanted to go to the Red Centre and do it in style, meaning without the kids! Things in the Red Centre are pretty expensive due to them having the monopoly, there are ways to save but that’s for another post later this week!
