Hopefully our Instameet has bought some much needed publicity and will encourage people to return to the area and assist the locals recover. We found plenty of things to do in Port Fairy for the kids. (more…)

Otway Fly Treetop Adventures- Family Travel Blog – Travelling with Kids

Over our June long weekend we took the kids to Apollo Bay located along the iconic Great Ocean Road about 2.5 hours from Melbourne. The Otway Fly Treetop Adventure is 40kms from Apollo Bay and that took about 40mins because its a very windy road, so if you’re a person that gets a motion sickness you might struggle a bit! I had a couple of moments! Luckily enough it doesn’t seem to bother my kids.  (more…)

Koalas of the Great Ocean Rd- Travelling with Kids – Family Travel Blog

Now who doesn’t love koalas, Australia’s famous little cuddly looking bears. We spent the long weekend at Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Rd and when we visited the Cape Otway National Park, driving through the eucalyptus trees you could see the koalas in the trees. People had pulled over to the side of the road all the way down into the Cape Otway Lighthouse. We stopped and jumped out with the kids so that they could have a look at koalas in their natural habitat. (more…)
