Over the Christmas/ New Year break we went on a camping trip to the Big 4 Taggerty Holiday Park with the kids. I had researched a heap of things to keep the kids busy and entertained but in the end we did very few of them but still found plenty to do in the area and also plenty of other things that we didn’t get around to doing. Kuala Lumpur was our second experience with Airbnb and as we had such a great experience with an Airbnb in Hong Kong. I was pretty confident that Airbnb Kuala Lumpur Malaysia would be just as good or better. I had booked a two bedroom apartment in Bukit Bintang as I was told it was a good central place to base yourselves in Kuala Lumpur. We stayed in Kuala Lumpur for 2 nights on the way through to Kota Kinabalu and another 2 nights on the way back from Kota Kinabalu heading home. I think I need to allow more time in Kuala Lumpur as I now feel that I haven’t had even scratched the surface of what Kuala Lumpur has to offer.

In 2014 we took a family holiday to Hong Kong to take our 3 kids aged 5, 7 & 9 to Disneyland. We struggle to find reasonably priced accommodation due to the fact that we need 2 rooms as hotels rarely accommodate 5 in one room. This means that we also have to pay 2 full room rates. This means that a 2 week holiday would cost the same as a 4 week holiday for those with only 2 kids. A friend at work suggested we used AirBNB Hong Kong to help us cut down the costs of accommodation. I’m so glad I did!

Hotel Review – Shangri La Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu, Borneo – Family Travel Blog

When considering Kota Kinabalu resorts go no further than Shangri La Tanjung Aru, totally LUSH! From when you step out of your taxi to the minute you check out, it is nothing short of perfect. The staff are amazingly attentive and exceptionally good with the kids. We had decided early that we would like to stay at one of the Shangri La Resorts when in Kota Kinabalu , either the Tanjung Aru or the Rasa Ria. (more…)

How was Air Asia? Awesome!

After taking 8 flights with the airline in the last 2 and a half weeks I feel I have the right to say so! Any Air Asia promotion is going to save me so much money that I would be crazy not to fly with them. It means I can upgrade my accommodation. Short term pain for long term gain. (more…)

The main reason for our recent family holiday was to take the kids to Hong Kong Disneyland. We choose Hong Kong Disneyland specifically as it is more focused for the younger age group.
