The Cinderella Premiere – Sydney State Theatre – Family Travel Blog – Traveling with Kids

Last weekend Keira and I flew up to Sydney to visit her friend Bella. We do this regularly as Bella is Keira’s best friend from when we lived in Sydney, kinda strange as they’re only 7 but they are like 2 old women and love each others company like no other. Helps that I kinda like Bella’s mum Venessa. (more…)

Hydeaway Bay – Monte’s Restaurant – Family Travel Blog – Travelling with Kids

Each afternoon Craig and I would go to the Shed Bar at Nomad’s Backpackers for happy hour between 4pm-5pm and the kids would have a play on the grass in front of the pool. Each afternoon the same barman was working, a backpacker from the UK. He asked what we had planned for our final day in Airlie Beach and at that stage we had nothing planned.  He gave a great spot to visit to kill the day, lunch at Hydeaway Bay. (more…)

On the March Labour Day long weekend, Craig and I took the kids for a short 4 day break to Airlie Beach. There are so many things to do at Airlie Beach but I was certain of one, I wanted to take the kids to Whitehaven Beach. Nearly 30 years ago I promised someone  very special who has since passed away that I would get there one day and now I have done it with my family. Nomad’s Airlie Beach Backpackers – Family Travel Blog – Travelling with Kids

We recently spent 3 days at Airlie Beach in Tropical North Queensland, gateway to the Whitsundays. On this occasion we didn’t have to take the kids out of school because they have curriculum days on the Thursday and Friday before our Labour Day long weekend. While I can imagine its difficult for some, its actually pretty good for me! To save some money we decided to stay at Nomads Airlie Beach, its in a great location and very economical price wise.  (more…)

Over the Australia Day long weekend, we took a family trip to Sydney to visit friends we made when we lived up there. Choosing where to stay in Sydney is always a big task! (more…)

My Review – Big 4 Taggerty Holiday Park, Victoria – Family Travel Blog – Travelliing with kids

Over the Christmas/ New Year break we went on a camping trip to the Big 4 Taggerty Holiday Park with the kids.
