Visit Alcatraz – San Francisco with Kids

Alcatraz is the most popular attraction for tourists visiting San Francisco, Craig being the history buff in the family said from the outset that he wanted Alcatraz on the itinerary. I was a little concerned to visit Alcatraz with the kids as I wasn’t sure it would be appropriate for them. I am happy to report it was more than suitable for the kids and they really enjoyed it, especially the Alcatraz ferry across to the island. (more…)

Golden Gate Bridge Bike Hire – Blazing Saddles

When we decided we would kick off our White Christmas tour of the USA in San Francisco I knew that I wanted to ride a bike over the Golden Gate Bridge. There are a number of companies for Golden Gate Bridge bike hire and we chose Blazing Saddles. When I started researching I couldn’t believe how easy it was going to be to organise.
