Top things to do in Washington DC with kids

There is so much history to explore in Washington but I was concerned there wouldn't be enough interesting things to do in Washington DC with kids, how wrong was I! There is definitely more to Washington than the White House but strangely enough the kids were pretty interested in seeing that for themselves.

Top things to do in Boston with kids

We considered many cities in the USA for our white Christmas experience and we finally settled on Boston for a number of reasons. I knew there was plenty of things to do in Boston with kids and it suited my itinerary considering I wanted to be in New York City for New Years Eve. This made Boston the perfect choice with a reported 60% chance of snow on Christmas day.

Review - Eliot Hotel Boston - A Family Friendly Hotel

When I finally decided that Boston was going to be the city for our white Christmas my focus turned to finding the best place to stay in Boston for families. I had expected hotel accommodation over Christmas would be costly and I wasn't wrong. I had my heart set on staying somewhere central and after trawling through various third party aggregator sites I decided on the Eliot Hotel Boston and it was a great choice.

Darwin with Kids & Exploring Australia's Top End

Exploring Australia's Top End and Darwin with kids was definitely a little different to our usual holidays especially when we decided it would be a 4WD camping trip (insert totally shocked emoji). Having a 4WD enabled to access some of the more remote areas and to explore the best Australia's Top End has to offer families.

RACV Cobram Resort - Cobram's best family friendly accommodation

Do you like to escape to somewhere warmer during winter? Ever consider the RACV Cobram Resort? It has to be the best family friendly resort in Cobram, in my opinion anyway! Here's why. Earlier this year we was invited to visit the RACV Cobram Resort, part of the RACV Resorts group, I had looked at it a few times and we have friends that holiday here each Christmas so the decision to snap up the offer wasn’t a hard one!

Sunday brunch on the high seas with Searoad Ferries

Last Sunday we had the opportunity to sail the high seas on board Searoad Ferries' Queenscliff to Sorrento ferry here in Victoria. Queenscliff holds a special place in my heart, its where we use to holiday for 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year break as a family when I was growing up.

Top places to visit in Palawan with kids

Traveling with the kiddos in tow might sound like a huge hassle, but it is entirely possible. Not only is it possible, there is actually nothing more fulfilling than traveling as a family. Sure, having the occasional romantic getaway with your hubby is nice. But there’s a good chance you'll find yourself missing them halfway into a trip like we did in the Maldives.

Things to do in Singapore with kids

You'll never run out of things to do in Singapore with kids, it's an amazing city to visit and best of all it's the cleanest and easiest to get around in South East Asia.  We have visited Singapore a number of times with the kids and I still haven't experienced all the amazing things to do with them. I'm sure you'll find many fun things to do in Singapore with  kids.

Best Day Tours from Bangkok

What makes Bangkok even more exciting and enchanting are not just those magnificent temples and palaces and colourful street markets, but those added attractions and day tours one can enjoy. So, once you have explored the city and its countless attractions and enjoyed the culinary delights of the fragrant food stalls, it is time to explore what lies beyond the city.

How to Book Tickets for the Beijing to Xian Train

I had a whole lot of misconceptions surrounding my recent visit to China, one of those was transport. I had expected the train system to be similar to India or Vietnam but I'm happy to report it is a fantastic system to use and very similar to the Shinkansen in Japan. Here's your guide on how to book tickets for the Beijing to Xian train or any other train tickets in China.

Review - TripADeal 12 day tour of China

I've recently returned from a 12 day tour of China with TripADeal. When people hear this the first question they ask is 'what was TripADeal like?'. So I thought it must be a question many people are asking so best I put my thoughts on line.

Hotel Review - Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa

Close your eyes and think about a luxury Maldives resort, what thoughts rush into your mind? Can you feel the hot sun flowing over you and the pure white fine sand rubbing between your toes? Those are the things I think about, then throw in glorious sunsets over a beautiful white sand beach with overwater bungalows just off shore. Well the Maldives is all of that and a whole lot more.

Top places to visit in Jaipur with kids

Last year I was approached by the marketing team at Scoot Airlines. They asked if we would be interested in travelling to Jaipur, India to film a family travel campaign for them to use on their Facebook and YouTube channels. We quickly agreed and this is our list of top places to visit in Jaipur with kids.

Hotel Review - Four Points by Sheraton Agra

Agra, being home to the Taj Mahal, sees more than its fair share of tourists. There are many hotels near this grand monument to love and it can be confusing knowing which are the better ones. Particularly which are the better hotels near the Taj Mahal. As we discovered, Agra is best enjoyed over at least 2 days as there is more to this ancient capital than just visiting the Taj Mahal.

Cayman Turtle Centre - Grand Cayman Island

I was so excited to have the opportunity to visit the Cayman Islands as part of our Carnival Cruise. Grand Cayman has a shallow harbour so we had to board a tender to take us ashore at the Port of George Town. This was something different as I hadn’t experienced this before. Top of the attraction list was Cayman Turtle Centre, the rest was icing on the cake.

Carnival Cruise with kids - Western Caribbean

Have you ever considered taking a Carnival Cruise with kids? I hadn't! When we travelled to the USA, I had a week at the end of our trip and I wanted to do something fun and exciting, something the kids would enjoy. We found Carnival Cruise Lines very affordable departing from the USA, particularly for a family of 5 like ours.

Best Cenote near Playa Del Carmen, Mexico

I was determined to give the kids the best experience while in Mexico during our port stop with Carnival Cruise. The Carnival crew advised an organised Carnival tour was the best option for experiencing the cenotes near Playa del Carmen and given time constraints it is really the only option for a cenote visit.
