For a short stay in Langkawi Malaysia, we managed to fit a lot in. It’s a beautiful island and surprisingly they pack a punch with things to do in Langkawi with kids! I didn’t realise before our visit that Langkawi is extremely kid friendly and we had plenty to keep our kids busy and entertained.
On our last night with Naturally Langkawi we were treated to a Langkawi sunset dinner cruise on the Blue Dolphin departing from the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club with NAAM Adventures. We had already spent a full day with NAAM Adventures on Paradise Island 101 so we knew that this cruise would be top notch.
During our recent trip to Langkawi we had the good fortune to be invited to one of the most interesting places in Langkawi, the Malaysian Cultural Show at the Aseania Resort & Spa located at Pantai Tengah.
Our first day with Naturally Langkawi took us to the amazing Kilim Geoforest Park, one of the top things to do in Langkawi. Kilim Geoforest Park is part of the wider Langkawi Geoforest made up of Kilim and two other parks. We only visited Kilim, the coastal mangrove forest on this visit.
The Skycab has been rated Langkawi’s top tourist attraction on the island and I can see why, the views from the viewing platform are amazing and certainly worth the 30 minute ride in the SkyCab to the top. The Skycab isn’t just about the ride though, there’s plenty to do up there and you could easily spend a whole day wandering. There are so many amazing things to do in Langkawi with kids.
During our stay in Langkawi we were treated to a special activity, one of the best places to visit in Langkawi! We spent most of the day at what I suppose you’d call a day resort, Paradise Island 101 by Naam Adventures. This 2.5 acre man-made island just outside Telaga Harbour is owned and run by Naam one of the main tour and activity operators on Langkawi. It’s been open for around 18 months but only to private bookings as it’s only 90% complete, they hope to have it…
Over the last couple of years we have visited Malaysia more than once a year. It’s our stop over generally on the way to somewhere else. We often have a couple of days in Kuala Lumpur before flying on or on our way home. We often talk about exploring Malaysia a little more but it seems to always get overlooked, well not this time! We decided to explore Langkawi and we chose to stay at the Meritus Pelangi Resort and Spa.
